Insomnia tips

When you have insomnia:

1. Do not decide that the Benadryl gelcap you are about to ingest would get to work faster if you bit into it and sucked the medicine out. The fact is, a) it tastes a little bit like the bottom of a shoe worn in a nuclear plant, and, more importantly, b) it will make your tongue, lower lip, and throat go completely numb, which of course will sort of freak you out and completely eliminate any drowsy effects you were so desperately hoping to achieve.

2. Do not, with your numb and possibly swelling throat and mouth, then go downstairs and casually flip on the film, Open Water. This will help no one, especially not you. The sharks will be scary, the people sad. Your eyes will be wider than ever as you shuffle back upstairs thinking of things like death-by-ocean.

Just don't do those things. You idiot.

Am I the only one here who is now tempted to go make my tongue numb with a benadryl?
